We are looking a person for Geographic Analyst role to join our HERE (Nokia) team in Moscow office. Under supervision from the mentor side, the Geographic Analyst will be embedded in the workflow in map creation activities with the appointment of certain duties and responsibilities. The role involves a short period of adaptation without special training in the field of basic knowledge, which should possess each professional employee of the field of GIS.

In this role, you will be responsible for:
• Participate in planning and sourcing of map content.
• Conduct database testing and inspections within a defined area as a part of database ownership.
• Support map creation efforts with Global Production operations.
• Perform high priority geo-coding updates as required.
• Solicits, establishes, trains and sustains relationships with local organizations («expert communities»), that provide map content updates utilizing a Nokia API.
• Participate in projects to develop improved map creation processes.
• Perform regular map (cartography) updates.

In order to succeed in this exciting role, we expect you to have:
• Possess a valid driver’s license and a good driving record. You must have a good, practical driving skills.
• Bachelor’s (specialist) degree required. Degree in GIS/Cartography, Science, Technology or related specializations preferred.
• 2-3+ years GIS experience is preferred and proficiency in PC software packages including a familiarity with geography encoding. It will be great if you experienced in different GIS (ArcGIS, MapInfo, Easy Trace, etc.), ERDAS, ENVI, other relevant for mapping programs.
• Intermediate verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to travel by car for extended trips in Moscow region.
• Programming skills are welcome.
