We have seen a very positive response to the 8-Band Challenge, with a very large number of proposals received at the deadline. We are still going through the list of proposals and responding to the applicants. An automated response was not feasible because we received numerous questions, along with proposal submissions. I expect that we have received your application, but will confirm it next week.

DigitalGlobe is pleased to announce that we have accepted your proposal for the 8-Band Challenge. We have your area of interest covered in our archive, so we will be providing you with imagery within the next week or two.
The response to our inaugural challenge was tremendous, with over 500 highly qualified proposals. As a result we are extending the challenge into the second quarter of 2011 by adding a second judging event. We hope that you will take the opportunity to submit your research paper by December 1st in order to be considered for the awards presentation at Geospatial World Forum in January. However, if you are unable to submit your research in December, there will be a second deadline in early 2011. Only one paper may be submitted as part of the 8-Band Challenge. The final details for this second event will be announced in the near future.
When you receive your imagery, you will be bound by the terms and conditions of the End User License Agreement (EULA) which restricts you to using this imagery for research purposes only. Please make sure that you read and understand the EULA when you receive your imagery.
